Javier Tejeda-Vera
Vice President of Sales for Aspira A Más

Javier Tejeda-Vera is Vice President of Sales for Aspira A Más, a division of IHC Specialty Benefits. Javier has a proven record of success supporting business development activities in domestic and global markets. Prior to Aspira A Más, he was the Director of Business Development with UNFCU (United Nations Federal Credit Union).

Javier is a native of Mexico, and started his insurance career over 20 years ago with Chubb Insurance as a Director for Operations in Mexico City and later promoted to oversee operations for their Latin America business. His past positions include Vice-President of International Operations for Conseco, managing benefits and life insurance programs and CUNA Mutual Group as a Vice-President for Latin America, providing benefits products and lending protection for the Credit Unions.

Javier holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University, and received his MBA from the University of Miami. He is also a founding member of National Society of Hispanics with MBAs (NSHMBA), Indianapolis chapter.

Leticia Perez
Director of Sales

Leticia “Letty” Perez is Director of Sales for Aspira A Mas, a division of IHC Specialty Benefits. She is responsible for managing national producer recruiting, contracting, special events and supporting business development activities.

With over 16 years of health insurance industry experience, Letty has served in various capacities, including licensing and compliance specialist at Standard Security Life Insurance of New York, and most recently as Regional Sales Director for IHC Specialty Benefits.

Born and raised in New York City, Letty is a graduate of St. Johns University and now resides in Tampa, FL with her family.

Dave Keller
Chief Sales and Marketing Officer

Dave Keller is Chief Sales and Marketing Officer of IHC Specialty Benefits and has worked in the insurance industry for over 25 years. His prior positions include serving as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for IHC Health Solutions and as Vice President of marketing at Assurant Health prior to joining IHC.

Dave obtained his Bachelor’s degree from Denison University.

Brian Dow
Chief Operating Officer

As Chief Operating Officer, Brian Dow has experience in oversight of ecommerce application development, cor­porate planning, business development, telemarketing call centers, joint ventures, lead and advance programs and new venture startups.

Previous to joining The IHC Group, Brian spent nine years working for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minne­sota. Brian began work in sales and marketing as a principal analyst responsible for developing and imple­menting sales and marketing plans. As a principal financial analyst, Brian lead joint venture efforts to create new health care facilities and provided financial expertise for disease management programs, informa­tion technology and corporate planning. Other profes­sional experiences include financial planning for a large national specialty retailer, Musicland Stores Corpora­tion.

Brian received his Bachelor of Science from St. Cloud State University in 1989 and his Masters of Business Administration in Venture Management from the University of St. Thomas in 2001.

David Kettig
President and Chief Executive Officer

David T. Kettig is President and Chief Executive Officer of IHC Specialty Benefits, and is Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Independence Holding Company {NYSE: IHC), having served IHC in various capacities since 1992. Mr. Kettig is also a director of IHC. In addition, Mr. Kettig serves as President of American Independence Corp. (NASDAQ: AMIC) and as President of both Standard Security Life Insurance Company of New York and Independence American Insurance Company, all corporate affiliates of IHC. He is a frequent contributor to trade publications (such as Broker World, HIU and Benefits Selling) on topics including medical stop-loss and fully insured health products. Mr. Kettig is a regular speaker at industry events on trends in the health insurance industry and the future of health care policy in the United States.

Prior to joining IHC, Mr. Kettig practiced law with a large firm based in New York City. He holds a law degree from Cornell Law School and is a graduate of Hamilton College.
